What Are Little Boys Made Of By An Unknown Author
What are women made of is itâ⬠ribbons and laces, and sweet pretty facesâ⬠(15-16) as portrayed in the poem ââ¬Å"What Are Little Boys Made Ofâ⬠by an unknown author in the 1800s or is it something more. This innocent poem seeks to portray women as gently and beautiful creatures incapable of fighting. This stereotype has followed women throughout history and continues today with women being excluded from combat positions within the United States military.
